Parking citation fines and fees have been adjusted by the Common Council after their meeting on Tuesday, July 18th at City Hall.
Fines and fees have been slightly increased as the City of Cortland continues to move to an electronic citation system, which was approved back in December.
A majority of the fines were increased by $5 dollars and include fines of overtime parking, improper parking, blocking of driveways or sidewalks, parking in restricted zones, and more.
Fines for parking violations for those who park, stop, or stand in a Handicapped Space were increased more than $5. The new fine issued will now be $85 and increase to $100 after 7 days.
