City of Cortland Makes Adjustment To Park Regulations

During the City of Cortland Common Council meeting on Tuesday, the Common Council voted for an adjustment towards overnight parking regulations within the City of Cortland after it was noticed the policy was missing after the city adopted a new parking program in July.

The resolution was to create a provision in Article VII Parking, Standing, and Stopping of City Code of Ordinances Regulating to No All Night Parking in Municipal Parking Lots. The regulation was originally attached to the No Odd/Even Parking zones before the new program took effect.

Vehicles may not be parked in municipal parking lots between the hours of 3am and 6am daily, with vehicles issued current residential parking permits being allowed to park in residential parking areas.

The Council voted for the provision, Councilmember Thompson was the only member to vote against.
