The City of Cortland Fire Department has announced the department’s first-ever hands-only CPR class will take place this evening starting at 7pm at the fire headquarters at 21 Court Street in the City of Cortland.
Those participating in the class, which goes from 7 to 9pm, will be taught hands only CPR and AED use. The class will not issue a certification card, but is completely free for participants.
For those who cannot attend, another class will be held next month on August 21st at the same location from 7 to 9pm.
Cortland Fire will also host “Stop the Bleed and Community First Aid” classes on July 24th and August 28th. Participants will learn basic first aid and Stop the Bleed training.
