The City of Cortland Department of Public Works (DPW) has begun their annual paving program in the city. With this, disruptions are expected to be minor and the DPW will ensure at least one lane will remain open at all times during the work.
The DPW does state there will be short term inconveniences in regards to driveway access on certain projects. Signage will be in place prior to the road work along with residents in the area being alerted to specific travel restrictions and/or delays.
With weather permitting, resurfacing will take place on the following streets in the order listed below:
- North Franklin
- East Garfield
- Dead ends of Central Ave. & Elm Street
- Cleveland Street
- Front Street
- North Street
- Bower Street
- Faywood
- Woodland & Circle Drive
- Prospect Terrace.
