City of Cortland Common Council Meets Tonight

The City of Cortland Common Council meets tonight at 6pm for another meeting full of resolutions and proclamations. The meeting will take place in person at City Hall at 25 Court Street or via Zoom found HERE.




To begin, two proclamations are to be announced by the Common Council. The first, declaring May 13th as Muscular Dystrophy Association and Cortland Professional Firefighters International Association of Firefighters Local 2737 Boot Day Drive. Next will be to recognize Tom Michales for Receipt of SUNY Cortland’s Civic Leadership Award.

Resolutions for tonight’s meeting include special event permits for the upcoming St. Anthony’s Day Festival, Juneteenth Celebration, and the Cortland LGBTQ Center’s Cortland Pride Community Festival.

Additionally, the council will look to authorize additional funds to the popular Sidewalk Program, Declare DPW Equipment surplus, and set a public hearing regarding city parking regulations.
