City of Cortland Common Council Meets Tonight – Expected to Announce Several Upcoming Public Hearings

The City of Cortland Common Council will meet tonight at 6pm on the third floor of City Hall. Tonight’s meeting will include a presentation prior to the meeting from the SUNY Education and Foundations and Social Advocacy Department Students.

Tonight’s meeting is also expected to have the council vote on setting several public hearings for their next meeting on December 2nd. Those public hearings will be for the proposed 2026 city budget, exceeding the property tax levy, allow the council to set city fees, fines, and penalties via resolutions, and setting a rental fire and safety inspection along with a rental certificate of compliance.
