City of Cortland Common Council Meets Tomorrow

The City of Cortland Common Council will meet tomorrow at 6pm at City Hall in Downtown Cortland. Tomorrow night’s meeting includes several agenda items including approving a collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 317, who represent employees at the wastewater treatment facility.

The Common Council previously delayed approving the contract until tomorrow’s meeting to review additional documentation on long-term impacts to the city budget. None of the members were previously against the proposed agreement.

Other items on the agenda include setting a rate of pay for a parking enforcement officer, an overhire for Cortland Police due to an anticipated retirement, officially authorizing retired canine Max to live the remainder of his life with Officer Perkins, his handler, and more.
