City of Cortland Common Council Meets Tomorrow Evening

The City of Cortland Common Council will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, on the third floor of City Hall at 6pm. Tomorrow night’s meeting will include the council receiving and filing the 2025 city tree planting program update and include an overview presentation of the 2026 tentative City Budget.

Following the presentation, the council will receive said tentative budget and set dates for several budget review meetings, public hearings and approval for the budget in December. Other items in the agenda for tomorrow’s meeting include: setting a public hearing for renewal of a franchise agreement between the city and Spectrum, amending the management plan of 2025 relating to civil service reclassification of wastewater treatment facility chief and deputy positions, recognizing of donations, and authorizing an application for NY SWIMS funding to assist in the construction of a new bathhouse facility at Yaman Park and beach access infrastructure.
