City of Cortland Announces FAQ Page and Timeline Regarding Main Street Reconstruction

City of Cortland Mayor Scott Steve says the City of Cortland has set up a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page regarding what has been going on for the Main Street Reconstruction project and a historical timeline of the process since the City of Cortland won the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) back in 2017. The FAQ page also explains why specific decisions were made, including a two-way Main Street.

“We know there are a lot of questions about what’s next, and while we’ve tried to keep everyone updated through crowncityrising.com, social media, and the City’s website, it hasn’t been easy to reach everyone.” Mayor Steve said.

The Main Street reconstruction project is now in the final stages with work expected to wrap up late summer. Crews have begun pouring concrete for the new sidewalks, foundation work on new street lighting and traffic signals have been installed, and fiber optic cables have been placed.

Residents can find the FAQ page on the City of Cortland website, Cortland.org and can also follow updates on ongoing projects at CrownCityRising.com.
