The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a larceny from over the weekend involving several pieces of heavy landscaping equipment reported stolen from the town of Cortlandville.
Officers were called Monday to Starr Road on a complaint that a pull-behind 2019 Bandit Wood Chipper, a Greenlee Fairmont Stick Saw and a Stihl chainsaw were all taken from a parking lot where they were being stored.
Investigators believe the incident happened sometime between 5:00 Thursday evening and 6:00 Monday morning (March 26-30).

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information is asked to contact the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Investigation Division at (607)758-6151.
County residents are also reminded to always make sure their residences, outbuildings and vehicles are locked and secured.
