The City of Cortland will be holding a ceremony outside City Hall at 25 Court St. to honor Dan McNeil Jr. The event will take place Friday, January 13th at 9am, one day before McNeils 100th birthday.
Early this month, the City of Cortland declared January 14th “A Day in Honor of Dan McNeil Jr.” for the occasion of his 100th birthday and his many contributions to the Cortland community.
The recognition also notes McNeil’s support and active work in philanthropic and civic organizations with the Rose and Dan McNeil Foundation, an organization of supporting music in the community.
