CEO of Family & Children’s Counseling Services Named to Rural Health Council
CEO and Executive Director of the Family & Children’s Counseling Services, Lisa Hoeschele, has been appointed to the Rural Health Council by Governor Hochul following a recommendation by the Temporary President of the Senate. The Rural Health Council, part of the State Department of Health, advises the Commissioner of Health on all aspects of rural health care and rural health care delivery. This can include the impact of proposed programs, statues, regulations, and health care reimbursement policies.
“I look forward to elevating the voices of rural communities and strengthening our ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality behavioral health care,” said Hoeschele.
According to the Family & Children’s Counseling Services, the council additionally offers reports to the Regional Economic Development Councils on the status of the healthcare workforce in rural areas throughout the state.
