Her leadership role with the organization — which serves both Cortland and Tompkins Counties — spans three decades.

The Board of Director’s Transition Committee will announce plans shortly for the process of selecting a successor.

“This past year has magnified the challenges in the education and family support for young children,” reflected Dale-Hall. “We have had to create new approaches, find new resources and support the staff and community through unknown territory.”

As CEO, Dale-Hall provided leadership for the agency’s family support services, as well as provider and parent child care referral and resources for Cortland and Tompkins Counties.

She also played an active leadership role in the NYS Early Care and Learning Council network.

The CDC Board and Staff will honor her accomplishments and continuing legacy in the coming months.

Looking to the future of the Council, Dale-Hall added the “next steps are to ensure that changes we make today become building blocks for a better stronger organization in the future. New leadership and energy will allow the agency to capitalize on the crossroads the Council faces.”
