Cayuga Medical Center’s ACC Cardiac Cath Lab Receives Recognition for Accreditation
The American College of Cardiology announced on Tuesday their recognition and accreditation of Cayuga Medical Center (CMC) for its expertise and commitment to care.
CMC was accredited based on the cardiac cath lab’s staff, with their ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. They proved themselves to be more than capable in performing procedures efficiently and competently. CMC’s cardiac cath lab deals with coronary angiography and pacemaker insertions, as well as life-saving percutaneous coronary intervention.
“This prestigious recognition underscores Cayuga Health’s commitment to excellence in cardiovascular care,” said Dr. Martin Stallone, the CEO and President of Cayuga Health. “We extend our gratitude to our exceptional team of cardiologists, nurses, and staff who made this achievement possible. Together, we continue to elevate heart care right here in our community.”
To be accredited by the American College of Cardiology is no easy task. CMC proves that it will provide exceptional service whilst quickly and efficiently assessing patients before admitting them to catheterization. This is to ensure the safety of patients while staying within the standards the hospital has set.
