Cayuga Medical Center has announced they will receive over $7 million dollars in grant funding from the New York State’s Health Care Facility Transformation Program III.
The grant will help enhance the collaboration between medical providers and human services agencies in the area. The expanded use of technology, which is funded by the grant, will now allow healthcare providers and community organizations coordinate medical and social care more effectively.
Rob Lawlis, President and CEO of Cayuga Health Partners says, “When medical providers understand the social factors that influence health, they can link patients with the services they need, when they need them. This grant will give patients better access to programs that support their health.”
Additionally, with the new expanded technology, patients will now have access to resources and services for food, housing, transportation, employment, insurance, and more much more easily.
