Cayuga Med reopens ‘KidsCare After Hours’

Cayuga Medical Center has reopened its Kids Care After Hours pediatric unit, although with new summer hours.

The weekend clinic now runs Monday through Friday from 5-8 p.m., along with Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

Kids Care offers pediatric and adolescent care for minor injuries and illnesses for infants and teens through age 17.

Pre-registration is now required.

There is no waiting room. Patients are asked to wait in their vehicle once they arrive and call 274-4356 to pre-register. If you arrive by foot or by public transportation, kindly remain outside and call.

Only 1 parent/guardian and 1 patient will be allowed to enter the hospital. Additional siblings will not be allowed to enter unless they are also Kid’s Care patients.

Please enter through the Emergency Department entrance only. Upon entering, you will be screened as per the CMC Entrance Screening protocol.

While waiting permission to proceed and go to Kids Care, if you feel that your child is getting worse and is in need of immediate care, please go to the Emergency Department and your child will be seen as an Emergency Room patient.
