Cayuga Health to Offer Free Webinar on Digestive Health and Colon Cancer Prevention

The Cayuga Health System is offering a free, live and interactive webinar on Tuesday, March 26th at 5:30pm regarding digestive health and colon cancer prevention. The webinar will feature a panel of healthcare experts.

The panel of experts will offer up to date information on diest and promoting digestive health, the risk factors of colorectal cancer, what screening tests are now available to detect colorectal cancers, and information on colonoscopies.

“Colorectal cancer remains one of the top five cancers diagnosed annually, and the rates of colorectal cancer has been increasing in those that are younger than 50-years-old,” said Cyndi Davis, NP. “Colorectal cancer screenings allow us to detect cancer or pre-cancerous polyps earlier, which leads to better health outcomes. Similar to other screening tests for cancer, early detection is key!”

Panelists include: Alexi Clinton, MA, RDN, CDN, Dietitian/Nutrition; Cyndi Davis, NP, Oncology Nurse Practitioner; Kristina Pradhan, MD, Internal Medicine; and Micah Katz, MD, General Surgeon.

Those who join in on the live webinar will have an opportunity to ask questions with a recorded session being available following the event for those who cannot attend.
