Cayuga Health Network Set to Host Storm Spotter Course

Cayuga Health System announced on Wednesday that they would be hosting a winter storm spotter course.

Storm spotters will learn about winter storms and what to report regarding flooding, rain, ice and snow to the National Weather Service. They will learn the winter weather terminology, hazards, and how to safely obtain weather information and proceed with reporting it. 

The class will be free to attend and open to anyone. No age requirements or prior training is required. SKYWARN spotters do not belong to any government agency and are not classified as “chasers.”
