Cayuga Health Announces Cancer Center to Move to Cayuga Park – New Lab and Imaging Also to Open

Beginning on August 19th, Cayuga Health says their Cancer Center’s medical oncology, hematology, and chemotherapy services will move from Cayuga Medical Center campus to Cayuga Park on Cayuga Park Lane at the Ithaca waterfront.

In addition to the cancer services relocation, a new lab service will also be opening at the facility. DEXA Scan, Mammography, and Ultrasound Imaging services were made available at the facility last month.

“The generosity and support of our community is allowing us to further develop and create access to advanced cancer care for Ithaca and the Southern Tier in a comfortable and patient-centered clinical space,” stated Timothy Bael, MD, Medical Director for Oncology Services, Cayuga Health System. “Our state-of-the-art facilities at Cayuga Park allow us to continue to expand the exceptional care we provide along every step of the cancer journey.”

Cayuga Health says Cayuga Park was specifically designed for the services now provided with the needs of their patients kept in mind. The facility is considered state-of-the-art and offers a comfortable and efficient environment during treatments.

The new cancer center will offer patients a larger waiting room, and additional and larger examination rooms. Access to Cayuga Park can be done by turning onto 3rd Street right off of Route 13 and then turning left onto Cayuga Park Lane.
