This includes learning about the structure, formation, and hazards associated with severe weather such as thunderstorms, tornados, and flooding.
The first course will be an introductory training held on Thursday, April 24th from 6:30pm to 8pm at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca. An advanced SKYWARN class will then be held on Tuesday, May 13th from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Campus Center, Ithaca Falls room, on the Ithaca College campus. It is recommended that the basic course is taken prior to attending the advanced course, but is not required.
