Cayuga County plans testing clinic for phase 1 workers

The Cayuga County Health Department has planned a drive-thru testing clinic for essential workers and employees under phase one of the NY Forward plan, taking place from 1-4 pm tomorrow by appointment only.

This is the nasopharyngeal viral testing swab, not the antibody test.

Essential workers include, but are not limited to:

  • grocery store
  • convenience and hardware store employees
  • restaurant workers
  • first responders
  • law enforcement
  • correction officers
  • healthcare providers.

Phase 1 employees include those working in:

  • construction
  • agriculture
  • forestry
  • fishing
  • hunting
  • retail workers
  • manufacturing
  • wholesale trade.

This clinic is also open to household members of these workers and employees, including children ages two and older.

Appointments can be made here, with three reserved for each time slot. If one swabbing station is full, please select another one.


As of Wednesday, May 20 Cayuga County reports a total of 74 confirmed cases to-date, with one death and 62 individuals recovered.

Three are currently hospitalized and 43 others in mandatory quarantine or isolation.

Additionally, health officials are waiting for 139 pending results.
