Cayuga Cancer Center Receives Re-Accreditation From American College of Radiology

Cayuga Health says their Cancer Center has earned re-accreditation from the American College of Radiology for their Radiation Medicine. Cayuga Health says the re-accreditation highlights their continued excellence in patient safety, quality, and care.

The Cayuga Cancer Center offers to patients cancer care that is close to their home, but also advanced technology, expert medical and radiation oncology, surgical services, and a wide range of supportive programs, Cayuga Health says. Some of the access patients have include: palliative care, counseling, and navigation services.

“Re-accreditation from the ACR underscores our commitment to delivering the highest quality cancer care to our community,” said Jennifer Turck, AVP of Operations and Service Lines for Cayuga Health. “This achievement reflects the skill and dedication of the Radiation Medicine team and their focus on safe, effective, and compassionate treatment for every patient.”

The American College of Radiology accreditation, Cayuga Health says, is considered the gold standard in radiation oncology and is awarded only to facilities which meet the highest level of quality and safety standards following a review.
