No this isn’t CATS, the musical in the Village of Homer.
Homer Village Chief of Police Bob Pitman gave an update to the village trustees and Mayor at Tuesday’s Trustee meeting, saying they’ve got an area where feral cats are becoming an issue.
Chief Pitman on the situation went on to say feeding those cats brings a lot of other animals to the area.
He did remind residents of a local health law that states if you feed feral cats you’re the owner of that animal and are required to get them vaccinated.
The Village Police soon will be mailing out letters reminding residents of that law.
