In commemoration of May as “Mental Health Awareness Month,” WXHC is running a special weekly segment featuring input from local mental health professionals in Cortland County:
This morning’s feature was Julie Partigianoni, Peer Services coordinator with Catholic Charities of Cortland County, who discussed a variety of programs and services the organization has continued to offer remotely during the ongoing crisis.
“The most important message right now is that you’re not alone,” Partigianoni said. “Catholic Charities is always available to help and most of our services have gone virtual. The pandemic is something we’re all enduring together.”
Many other programs in Cortland County have found success transitioning to virtual visits, with additional funding announced yesterday that will further expand these services for the local mental health department.
For more information about services offered through Catholic Charities, visit their website here, or give them a call at 756-5992, ext. 110.
