At around 3:50 this afternoon (Friday, October 16th), the Homer Fire Department responded to a car and First Transit bus that collided head on with reported injuries, near the intersection of Route 13 and Mead Road in East Homer.
Upon arrival they found a person in a black Chevrolet Equinox entrapped in their vehicle.
Both the Chevrolet Equinox and First Transit Bus sustained heavy front-end damage. Fortunately only one minor injury was reported, and they were transported to a local medical center.
The other occupants on the bus were unhurt.
The Homer Fire Department was assisted at the scene by TLC Ambulance and the Cortland County Sheriffs Department.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
