Car Crashes Off I-81 in Whitney Point, Hits Tree; Three Hospitalized at Wilson

A crash on I81 North in the Town of Whitney Point has sent three people to hospital. On Sunday afternoon around 4:30, emergency personnel were dispatched to the 33 mile-marker on I81 North for a single vehicle crash near the Cortland and Broome County line. The vehicle then came to rest in an embankment between north and southbound lanes.

In total, three people injured from the crash. Wheeler and two passengers, a 36 year old female and 37 year old male, were all transported to Wilson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
