The Cortland County Community Action Program (CAPCO) has announced that their annual coat drive has helped 244 individuals and children prepare for the upcoming winter season.
The drive had over 580 coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other warm winter items given out to those in need. CAPCO says they were helped by the multitude of community members who donated winter items for the drive as well as Homer Men and Boys, who also donated for the drive.
CAPCO says those who couldn’t have attended the coat drive, but still need winter items, the items are available at the Marathon Food Pantry at the Marathon Civic Building at 11 Brink Street in Marathon this afternoon, beginning at 4:30pm.
The organization also says winter coats and items will be on display and available at their Main Office during normal business hours throughout the Fall, Winter, and early Spring.
