Rep. Anthony Brindisi was in Cortland yesterday (January 31) to announce his “Gray New Deal” plan, which he launched from a roundtable discussion at the county office building alongside local leaders and senior advocates.
Afterwards, the congressman stopped by WXHC for an in-depth interview with Vinnie Bellardini on that topic and more.
Brindisi said his Gray New Deal aims to address some of the present concerns over senior protections and benefits, such as Social Security, health care and age discrimination.
He also discussed his work on the Veterans Affairs Committee, which include the opening of the second annual “Valentines for Vets” program and continued efforts to curb the alarming rates of Veteran suicide nationwide.
Several other topics were also discussed, including the recent signing of the USMCA and the ongoing impeachment trial in the Senate.
