Congressman Anthony Brindisi is Cortland today (January 31), announcing his “Gray New Deal” from a roundtable discussion at the county office building with local officials and senior citizen advocates.
His most recent plan comes amid rising concerns over senior protections and benefits like Social Security, health care and age discrimination – which are especially prevalent in rural communities such as those in New York’s 22nd Congressional District.
Brindisi said his greater intention is to launch a national initiative to build support for a legislative package achieving multiple goals within the senior community.
Afterwards, the congressman will stop by our studios for an exclusive interview to discuss this topic and much more.
Stay tuned for that WXHC exclusive.
