Brindisi Bill Preserving Veterans’ Benefits Headed To President’s Desk

Local News

Rep. Brindisi

Rep. Anthony Brindisi said Wednesday (September 25) that a bill he co-sponsored preserving key Veterans’ benefits is on the way to President Trump’s desk, after passing through both the U.S. House and Senate.

The Department of Veterans Affairs Expiring Authorities Act of 2019 is bipartisan legislation Brindisi worked on with Republican Representative Mike Bost.

If signed into law, Brindisi says it would preserve critical programs that serve America’s Veterans like loans for low-income individuals/families and transportation to Vet centers for those who live in highly rural areas.

Without action, these programs will expire at the end of September.
