Less than 5 months after the announcement from the Cortland County SPCA of two Co-Executive Directors for the organization, both now no longer work at the facility. Last week, the Cortland County SPCA Board of Directors President, Robert Bittner, announced the departure of Co-Directors Tiffany Ackerman and William Carr.

Bittner said in a release Tiffany Ackerman has left her role as Co-Executive Director back on June 1st. Her reason for leaving was to spend more time with her family. Bittner noted that Ackerman continues to help the SPCA on a volunteer basis.

For William Carr, Bittner says he was terminated from his position on June 29th following a month-long investigation. Reasons to why Carr was terminated were not disclosed as the SPCA says they will not discuss personnel matters.

“We appreciate the many years Bill served the organization in many capacities and wish them both well in their future endeavors.”

Robert Bittner said in a release.

Board President Bittner will be the acting Executive Director for the Cortland County SPCA. Bittner told X101 News no search has begun for a replacement, noting the SPCA has very capable people in key positions already with the organization.
