Reaction is still pouring in about Syracuse University announcing that long time basketball coach Jim Boeheim would not be back next season.
Boeheim’s final game was yesterday in a ACC tournament game against Wake Forest heard here on WXHC.
Boeheim who coached the orange for 47 years will be replaced by long time assistant and SU player Adrian Autry.
WXHC co-owner and GM, John Eves who co-hosted Boeheim’s Basketball with the coach 30 plus years ago had this reaction “It’s still kind of hard to believe but nothing last forever. I was texting Mike Tirico last night and we both have some great memories of working with Coach Boeheim. I wish it had ended on a better note but nobody will ever coach at the same school for as long as he has ever again. He made SU basketball what it is.” Eves said.
Syracuse missed the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row.
