Body Found Behind Cortland Seafood Identified

The City of Cortland Police Department has identified the man who was found deceased behind Cortland Seafood last Monday, December 23rd. Cortland Police have identified that man as 41 year old Eric C. King of Cortland. His cause of death remains under investigation.

It was around 11:45 in the morning when officers were dispatched to 65 Pendleton Street, Cortland Seafood, for an unresponsive male behind the building. When officers arrived, they found King laying down, CPD noted it appeared King had been laying there for several hours. His body was taken by the Cortland County Coroner for further investigation.

Cortland Police say no foul play is believed and there is no threat to the public.
