Blues Traveler Rolls Out 25-Date Fall Run

Music News

Blues Traveler, who’s currently out on the road playing a Southern and Midwestern run, has just announced a whopping 25 fall dates for October and November. The band still features co-founders John Popper on vocals and harmonica, guitarist Chan Kinchla, drummer Brendan Hill, and bassist Tad Kinchla — along with keyboardist Ben Wilson, who came on board following the 1999 death of original member Bobby Sheehan.

Blues Traveler’s last album, 2015’s Blow Up The Moon, featured collaborations with such artists as Jewel, Bowling For Soup, JC Chasez, and Hanson, among others.

Frontman John Popper told us that sometimes its easy to forget that Blues Traveler’s music has been a mainstay for over 25 years: “We’re surprised about the fact that people know who the hell we are at all really ’cause we spent the whole time playing. It’s almost like you get on sort of a circuit, and that’s what you go and do. So you figure you got a little audience that comes to see you. And then you realize you’ve played just about everywhere and you’ve actually had been on the radio a bunch and ‘Oh yeah. I remember doing that.'”
