Bluegrass is Back on The Village Green Tomorrow

An evening of Bluegrass on the Homer Village Green will take place tomorrow, July 27th from 7 to 9pm.


Performing tomorrow evening will be the Howlin’ Brothers from Nashville Tennessee, who are a based string band that have performed throughout the country and in Europe for over 20 years. Their music consists of bluegrass and oldtime styles with a performance like none other.

Part of the group is Homer native, Ian Craft, who is on fiddle, mandolin and the banjo. The rest of the group consists of Jared Green, guitar and harmonica, and Ben Plasse on the upright bass. They met in Ithaca back in 2003 and relocated to Nashville two years later in 2005.

The Hownlin’ Brothers have made a stop before in Homer. Performing in 2008 at the 17th annual Bluegrass on the Green festival.

It is encouraged that you bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy some bluegrass tomorrow on the Village Green in Homer from 7 to 9pm.
