Big Lots in Lansing Set to Close – Cortland Location Remains Open

The Big Lots store off of North Triphammer Road in Lansing, is set to close. The closure comes after Big Lots announced additional store closures as part of a nationwide closure of nearly 300 stores. Big Lots has been struggling financially and recently posting a net loss of over $200 million dollars for the first quarter of 2024 back in June. The company cited a decline in sales from a “challenging” consumer environment as the main cause.

No set date has been announced on the closing of the Lansing store, but the store has announced a 20% sale. In total, 10 Big Lots are set to close in New York State at this time. For the Cortland location, there is as of now, no plans to close.
