BBQ planned for local first responder diagnosed with ALS
Local News September 3, 2020At least two fundraisers will be held to support David Tobias – a sergeant with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and member of both C’Ville and Cincinnatus FD’s, who was recently diagnosed with ALS.
Otherwise known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” the progressive condition affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, ultimately causing loss of muscle control.
The Sheriff’s Office has a Chicken BBQ planned for next Saturday (the 12th) at the Cortlandville fire station on Route 13, beginning at 11:30 am.
Another event is being planned at the Cincinnatus Fairgrounds with more details still to come.
100% of all money raised will go directly to Sgt. Tobias and his family.
