The Village of Homer yesterday (May 5th) received a Local Government Achievement Award from The New York State Conference of Mayors at their annual meeting.
Village Mayor Hal McCabe was on hand to accept the award for the Village of Homer’s Student-Led Climate Smart Community initiative.
The annual meeting took place at the Sagamore Hotel in Bolton Landing.
The Homer High School Homer Green Team / Homer Environmental Club was the only all student team to win the award.
New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials (NYCOM) is advocating association for municipalities in New York State.
