The Auburn Correctional Facility has been locked down since Monday due to inmate unrest and a series of assaults on staff.
The corrections officers union reports that since Monday drugs and weapons have been found in the Auburn prison.
Several officers have been injured this week by inmates. Officers have found several homemade type weapons.
All of the inmates involved face disciplinary charges, Miller said, and Auburn Correctional Facility remains locked down at this time.
The maximum security prison was previously locked down for five days in March due to inmate fights, and again in June when escape plans were found in an inmate’s cell.
