ATI of Cortland County plans 1st Annual “Universal 5+1/2 K” (audio)

Local News, Meet Cortland County, On Demand, What We're Talking About

This morning’s (February 29) Meet Cortland County segment featured Access to Independence Executive Director Aaron Baier and Education Advocacy Coordinator Ally McCabe, who discussed a special fundraiser they have planned for April 25.

The inaugural Universal 5 + ½ K is being held in honor of Access founder Frances Pizzola, who passed away last July.

All proceeds will go directly to Access’ Universal Design Fund, which aims to support projects that make our community more accessible for everyone.

Two distances are available for participants – a 5K run and a ½ K walk, both of which will start and finish in Cortland’s Suggett Park.

Athletes, volunteers and sponsors are encouraged to get involved, with more information on the ATI website and on their Facebook page.
