Assemblymember Gallahan Endorses Stefanik For Governor
Assemblymember Jeff Gallahan (AD-131) has announced his endorsement for Governor of New York to Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st Congressional District, announced her candidacy for the Republican ticket for Governor of New York. She looks to defeat incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul next November.
“New York needs a governor who understands the realities facing Upstate families and small businesses. Elise Stefanik is a proven fighter who will tackle the affordability crisis created by the failed policies of Governor Hochul and Albany Democrats. She will cut taxes, bring down soaring energy bills, restore public safety, and make New York affordable again. I am proud to support her campaign for Governor.”
Governor Hochul looks to win a second term as Governor of New York State, but expects to face opposition from her own party in this June’s Primary Election with Lieutenant Governor, Antonio Delgado announcing his bid for Governor earlier this year.
Gallahan says through his travels in his Assembly District, which includes a majority of Cortland County, he says he hears a clear message. That people are “fed up with Governor Hochul’s out-of-touch leadership.” He continued on to say he believes Stefanik will restore accountability for the state and listen to those living in Upstate New York.
