Assemblyman John Lemondes (R,C-LaFayette) has announced that he has secured funding for renovations and safety improvements at the Tully Free Library.
“Our local libraries are essential for our children’s education and our community’s well-being,” said Lemondes.
Renovations planned for the Tully Free Library include improvements in accessibility and efficiency with fresh air ventilation, a new elevator, stairs, circulation desk and improved storage space.
The funding for the work came from $34 million dollars in capital funds for public library construction and broadband infrastructure projects in the state budget. Lemondes Office says the Tully library is just one of many he has secured funding for in the 126th Assembly District.
“These funds will allow more people to have access to these amazing resources and increase community engagement. I’m glad that our local libraries are getting the funding they need to help our community thrive.” Lemondes continued.
