The City of Ithaca’s Community Life Commission yesterday called for new proposals for the City’s Mural and Street Art Program.
There are two upcoming application rounds for the Program and complete submissions are due by either February 15 (first deadline) or May 15 (second deadline).
Successful proposals will demonstrate positive use of color, imagery, a sense of community, good will, and be thoughtful of the community in which they are placed.
Since physical dimensions vary by site, artist must specify their preferred location and the dimensions of finished work in their proposal.
Selected artists must fund their mural installation; The City will support selected artists in applications to grant programs or other outside funding.
