Paving on NY-281 in Homer (North/South Street) has been postponed until Friday (October 1).
Work was expected to return yesterday.
Motorists should avoid the road from the Interstate 81 connector to Hooker Avenue.
Beginning Monday (October 4) and continuing daily through next week:
County highway crews will be grinding and paving Starr Road, Starr Road extension and Saunders Road.
It’s a continuous stretch of road between State Route 13 and Pendleton Street extension, one of the most heavily travelled in the county.
Traffic will be down to one lane daily from approximately 7 am to 330 pm each day.
Flaggers will be in place.
Again, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as this may cause extensive traffic delays.
