The Fourth of July is this Tuesday and police agencies throughout Cortland County will begin their high visibility campaign this weekend through Wednesday, July 5th.
Travelers should see an increase in marked and unmarked police vehicles patrolling looking for impaired or distracted drivers. The campaign is part of the statewide STOP-DWI campaign.
Those who plan to go out and drink are encouraged to use the free app “Have a Plan.” The app will be able to find a safe way for people to find a safe ride home. More information on the free app can be found HERE.
