
Area Blotter: Cortland Woman Illegally Sells Fridge, Suspended Driver Fakes Identity To Avoid Arrest
Local News February 26, 2019A Cortland woman was arrested Saturday (February 23) morning after she reportedly sold a refrigerator that came in her furnished rental apartment on Clinton Avenue in Cortland.
Cortland Police arrested 41-year-old Carrie Cash, now living on Church Street, on a warrant following an investigation into the incident which occurred on February 15.
Cash is charged with petit larceny and scheduled to appear in City Court on March 13.
A Cortland woman was arrested on Sunday (February 24) for impersonating her sister’s identity after a motor vehicle accident on February 11 in order to avoid being arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Cortland Police say 35-year-old Felisia Mackey, of Kellogg Road in Cortland, was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Port Watson Street around 11:15 a.m. She gave Police her sister’s name and date of birth at the scene to avoid being ticketed. A tip led Police to this discovery.
Mackey was released to appear in Cortland City Court on March 6.
