According to Cortland City Police, they’ve arrested Charles M. Tomlin, age 43 of Cortland, around 8pm last Friday (July 27th) for menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, which is a felony.
An hour earlier police say he was involved in verbal argument with a 25 year old male in the Groton Avenue parking. During the argument he displayed and threatened the other person with a razor blade.
Tomlin was sent to jail on $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond. He’s set to appear in court today.
The New York State Police report the arrest of Robin Stevens, age 35 of Cortland, on Thursday (July 26th) for identity theft and grand larceny.
The arrest stems from an initial complaint reported in December 2017. A complainant told troopers that over $1,000 was spent on a credit card without their approval.
After an investigation, Stevens was the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued by the Town of Scott Court.
Troopers located Stevens in the City of Cortland Thursday and he was arrested.
He was arraigned in the Town of Scott Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail without bail.
Stevens is scheduled to reappear in court tomorrow. (July 31st)
According to another release from the New York State Police, last Thursday just after 7pm Troopers responded to a 911 call at a residence on Elmira Road.
Troopers say that 49 year old Scott Linderberry of Ithaca entered the residence without permission, menaced a person in the house with a knife, and then threw items in the house, which caused damage.
He was arrested, and charged with burglary and was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is to reappear in court Wednesday.
