Another Candidate Enters Race to Replace Hanna

Another candidate has entered the race to replace exiting Republican Congressman Richard Hanna.

Broome County Democratic Minority Leader Kim Myers announced Thursday she will run for New York’s 22nd Congressional District seat which includes Chenango, Cortland, Madison, and Oneida counties, along with portions of Broome, Herkimer, Oswego, and Tioga counties.

Hanna announced last year that he would not seek re-election this coming year.

Four other candidates are in the race for the seat, including Democrat David Gordon; as well as Republicans Claudia Tenney, Steve Wells, Aaron Price, and George Phillips.
