Another Busy Season Expected at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex

It looks to be another busy season at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex in the Town of Cortlandville. Currently, 575 teams for the Spring and Summer season will visit the park, with 48 varsity baseball & softball teams.

Visiting teams will be coming from 16 states, with the farthest team coming all the way from Texas. The Sports Complex also says there are currently 9 sold-out weekend tournaments at the complex for this year, so far.

Visitors can also expect another new feature to the complex. This year, a brand new concession stand will be open for visitors. The new stand will be located in the center area of the four baseball fields at the complex, but will also feature restrooms for patrons, storage and office space. Work on the new building is well underway, according to Parks & Recreation Director for Cortlandville, John McNerney.

In 2023, the complex hosted over 100 local high school baseball and softball games, over 40 NCAA College baseball games, and over 80 College Club and Local Travel team baseball games.
