Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Cortlandville for a reported larceny on Memorial Day around 7pm.
An investigation found 61 year old Richard A. Gutierrez of Cortlandville, had stolen merchandise from the store. He was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor.
Gutierrez was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released with an appearance ticket to return to Cortlandville Town Court at a later date.
